From Sales to AI Music Video—A Creator’s VFX Journey

Viggle: How did you first become interested in design and AI?

Mason: My journey into AI and generative media wasn’t exactly planned. I work in sales in NYC, but my first exposure to design came in college when I did freelance web design. That’s when I first discovered my love for design—something I didn’t formally study. My background is actually in psychology and human resources, and the original plan was to become a therapist. Looking back, it’s fascinating to see how neuroscience and AI now intersect in ways I never anticipated.

About a year and a half ago, I started following Stable Diffusion and became deeply interested in the creative work people were producing. It’s been a short but exciting journey into the world of AI-generated media.

Viggle: What made Viggle stand out to you?

Mason: Viggle first popped up on my Instagram feed, and there was nothing like it at the time. Other closed-source video generation tools weren’t even close in quality. I was completely shocked by the level of coherence and detail—it felt like the next evolution in AI-powered content creation.

Viggle: Can you walk us through your workflow using Viggle?

Mason: Once I saw what Viggle could do, I knew I wanted to integrate it into my creative process. Here’s how I approached my workflow:

  1. Character images: Created using Automatic 11/11 and Krea’s Flux
  2. Source video: Taken from an Instagram creator
  3. Style enhancement and upscaling: Processed through Comfy UI and Topaz AI
  4. Music: Generated with Suno AI
  5. Editing and compositing: Finalized in After Effects

AI has completely transformed how I work. It’s incredible to see tools evolving so quickly, allowing creators like me—without a traditional animation or filmmaking background—to bring high-quality visuals to life.

Viggle: What excites you about the future of AI and creativity? Mason: I know there’s a lot of resistance to AI in the creative community, particularly from artists who feel threatened by these tools. I understand their concerns, but the reality is that AI isn’t going away—it’s only going to expand.

The fact that someone like me, without formal training, can create high-quality video content with AI is proof of how accessible and powerful these tools are becoming. Every week, new models and technologies emerge, pushing the boundaries even further. The competition between AI companies is driving innovation at an incredible pace, and I find that super inspiring.

Beyond the creative possibilities, this journey has also expanded my social network. I’m meeting people from all over the world who share a passion for AI-driven creativity. Experimenting in this space is exciting, and I can’t wait to see where it leads next.
