How Viggle Powered ZEPETO Avatar Pose Creation#
Through the AI Booth event, Viggle AI brought an exciting new layer of interactivity to ZEPETO avatars.
Traditionally, creating a 3D pose like a trendy dance uses motion capture technology to record a dancer's movements, translating them into digital data. This data is refined in animation software like Blender or Maya, where animators clean and adjust the movements for smoothness. The animation is then rigged to a 3D avatar model, mapping the dance to the avatar's skeleton, and optimized for seamless integration into the platform, allowing users to apply the pose to their avatars.
With Viggle AI, the whole process got much simpler. Users only needed one avatar image (not even 3D) and a driving motion video. Within seconds, Viggle AI generated a video of the avatar replicating the motion—whether it was dancing, fighting, playing sports, or acting in films. This breakthrough allowed users to instantly bring their avatars into any world they could imagine, unlocking endless creative possibilities.
Trendy dances, Squid Game scenes, and Kpop Idol Moments#
So, what experiences have we created?
During January 2025, Squid Game was a massive hit, and Viggle’s AI capabilities allowed ZEPETO avatars to step into the show’s iconic moments. Users became the actual players in the drama, jumping into scenes like Thanos rapping, Player 256 declaring, “I’ve played this game before,” or the intense yet fun Ddakji game. Verified Creators on ZEPETO first crafted these templates using Viggle’s simple and intuitive tools, and then other users remixed them to recreate their favorite moments.
Trending TikTok dances, like the I’m Sorry Dance (Kin Cha Na Ding Ding Ding trend), were also a hit. Even more exciting, avatars could dance alongside their favorite K-Pop idols, with templates featuring NewJeans, aespa, and IVE inspiring thousands of creative remixes.
