Viggle: Tell us a bit about yourself, Jamian. How did you get started in music and film?
Jamian: I’ve been immersed in music and film for as long as I can remember. I started creating, DJing, and producing when I was just 12—so that’s been 18 years! I went to Columbia College in Chicago to study film production, and since graduating, I’ve been producing films alongside my music. I also have a DJ residency at several hotels, including the Four Seasons in Chicago. It’s been an incredible journey blending my passion for film, music, and storytelling.
Viggle: How did you come across Viggle, and what drew you to use it for your projects?
Jamian: My AI journey kicked off in 2022. I was working on post-college certifications in advertising and attended a Salesforce conference, where they discussed AI avatars and influencers selling products online. Around the same time, I started using Midjourney to create album covers, my first real dive into AI-driven visuals.
Then I stumbled upon Viggle on X. I was curious, so I decided to try out a Tom Cruise dance video to see how it would perform. This was before Viggle even had templates—I made my own ones back then. For someone like me who works in music, visuals are key. People want to see dancing, energy, and movement when they hear music. Before Viggle, I’d have to hunt down videos of dancers to pair with my music. But with Viggle, I can create everything I need right on my own. It’s a game-changer for music creators, especially those performing live. Now, when I DJ on stage, I can effortlessly project dancers on the screen. Viggle makes it easy to add that visual energy.
Viggle: Can you walk us through the workflow for your Chicago Juke music video on TikTok?
Jamian: Absolutely! Here’s how I created the video:
- Dance Reference: I started by looking for authentic Juke dance movements on YouTube. Chicago Juke is a distinct style, so I wanted to capture the vibe accurately.
- Character Creation: I used Ideogram and Midjourney to create a baby character that would do the dancing. I wanted something unique and relatable for my followers.
- Integration with Viggle: Once I had the visuals, I combined the Juke dance moves with the character in Viggle. The app allowed me to mesh everything together and bring it to life.
Many of my followers are from Chicago, so they connect with House and Juke music. Viggle has been getting better and better, and it will enable more everyday users to create viral social media posts. It’s all about making the creative process accessible, and Viggle does just that.
Viggle: What’s your view on AI, especially as a creator who works in music and visuals?
Jamian: AI has been a tremendous asset, not just in my creative process but also in my everyday life. It’s like having an assistant at my fingertips. AI has streamlined many aspects of my workflow, from ideation to finalizing projects. I use tools like ChatGPT to help brainstorm ideas, refine concepts, and even assist with writing.
In terms of creativity, AI is just the beginning. It has unlocked many possibilities, from generating art to enhancing music production. I’m excited to see where it goes next, especially for creators just starting. AI isn’t just a tool; it’s a partner in the creative process. It will be incredible to see how it continues to evolve and impact music, visuals, and beyond.
