Viggle: Hi Thomas! Can you share a bit about your background and how AI fits into your creative journey?
Thomas Haevy: Absolutely! I have a background in graphic design, motion design, and art direction for commercial advertising and branding. I’ve always been interested in streamlining my creative process, and as soon as ChatGPT came out, I knew AI would enhance my workflow in a big way.
AI has saved me so much time, and now the challenge is figuring out how to best use that extra time for bigger, more creative projects.
Viggle: How did you first discover Viggle, and what drew you to it?
Thomas: I came across Viggle through Matt Wolfe’s YouTube channel, where he reviews new AI tools. The first thing that caught my eye was the Joker/Lil Yachty meme. It immediately reminded me of what Wonder Dynamics was doing, and I thought it was incredibly cool that I could apply motion capture to commercial and personal projects.
As a motion designer, I knew immediately that Viggle could give me creative control over my character animations in ways other AI tools couldn’t.
Viggle: What’s your workflow when using Viggle for motion capture?

Thomas: My workflow involves integrating anime and live-action film movements to create more lifelike character animations. Here’s my typical process:
- Conceptualization – define the creative vision.
- Scripting – Outlining the narrative.
- Storyboarding – Identifying which scenes will use Viggle, especially fast sword-swinging and dynamic movements that other AI tools struggle with.
- Character Swap – Using Viggle to apply motion capture.
- Editing & Post-Production – Using Adobe After Effects to refine motion, add camera shake, and bring everything together.
- Viggle makes extracting and modifying complex movements easy, which is a massive advantage for creative storytelling.
Viggle: How do you see AI changing the creative industry?
Thomas: AI won’t completely change my world overnight, but it has already transformed my workflow. The most significant impact has come from large language models (LLMs), which I use almost daily.
Generative AI massively boosts productivity, allowing me to accomplish things I never thought possible. For example, I never learned 3D animation, but now AI tools help me create faux-3D projects effortlessly, unlocking new creative possibilities.
I even use AI to generate blog posts and structure entire books, which is extremely powerful.
Viggle: What’s next for you, and how do you see Viggle fitting into your future projects?
Thomas: I’m currently looking at incorporating Viggle into commercial advertising campaigns, especially in sectors like cosmetics and digital branding. I’m always experimenting with ways to push AI further in creative storytelling.
Viggle is the only AI motion capture tool that gives me the level of creative control I need, and I’m excited to explore new projects where I can integrate them seamlessly.
