Ryan’s story is a testament to how AI tools like Viggle are democratizing creativity, enabling people from all walks of life to bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s a Bruce Lee tribute or an innovative animation overlay, Ryan shows how AI can empower individuals to create, connect, and find new purpose.
Viggle: Hi Ryan! Thank you so much for being here. Can you tell us a bit about your background?
Ryan: I’m 39 years old, from San Diego. I worked at a law firm for my entire career until 2020. After leaving that world, I became a full-time Uber driver. It was a challenging time for me—I went through a failed relationship and felt isolated and depressed. Content creation became my way out. It helped me through one of the most challenging periods of my life. Initially, I just explored and followed other creators, but then I came across Viggle and thought, “Why not create something of my own?”
Viggle: What’s been your experience with Viggle so far?
Ryan: My first big project was a video with Bruce Lee, which turned out well. The X (formerly Twitter) community quickly complimented how crisp it looked, which caught me off guard and gave me a huge confidence boost.
After that, I started experimenting more. I’ve been having fun with friendly content-offs with Sarah AI, a much bigger creator. For one challenge, I did a Michael Jackson dance, which was lighthearted and so much fun to put together.
One of my favorite things to do is use Viggle for animation overlays. I recently did one with Miles Morales, and I haven’t seen anything quite like it. Viggle makes it easy to create unique and visually stunning content.
Viggle: How do you view AI’s role in the creative space?
Ryan: I'll admit, I'm cautious about using AI tools. Some of my artist friends aren't fans of AI art, so I try to be mindful of how I use these tools and where I apply them.
That said, I think the potential for AI is enormous, though it’s also undeniably controversial. I see it as a completely different medium for creation. For me, it’s been transformative. I love to dance, but I’m not artistically trained in visual arts. With AI tools like Viggle, I can bring my ideas to life in ways I never could before.
I’ve started installing editing tools to upscale my videos lately, so my content meets a much higher standard. It’s pushed me to improve and grow creatively, which is a good thing.
As long as we have proper checks and balances, AI's future in the creative space is bright. I’m excited to see where it goes.
